Responsibility
We run public assets on behalf of others. That is why we commit to rules that third parties can verify, and we publish how we do it.
Since 23 May 2025 the Cooperative’s gender equality management system has been certified by Kiwa Cermet Italia to UNI/PdR 125:2022, the Italian reference practice for gender equality. The certification covers all our activities, running hostels, catering and support services, and is audited every year by the certification body.
On the dedicated page, in Italian and English, we publish our gender equality policy, our indicators and the channel for reports, including anonymous ones.
The Cooperative is a member of AITR, the Italian Association for Responsible Tourism. In our hostels we welcome schools, groups and hikers, and we work with the associations and businesses of the areas where we operate, as in the Val di Cornia around the Gowett.
The facilities we run belong to municipalities, universities and public companies, and several are protected by the Soprintendenza, Italy’s heritage authority. We run them knowing they belong to others: we respect the buildings’ constraints and report to the owner on how they are doing.
We are a worker cooperative with prevailing mutuality: most of the work is done by the members. We are members of Legacoop. In 2025 an average of 40 people worked with us.
